Standards Addressed
[To be added]
Accessibility
Synchronous interaction is suggested to (a) obtain instructor input, q&a and (b) promote initial coordination among the group members.
Asynchronous interaction on the wiki-page allows each Learner to devote the necessary time, according to personal time constraints, to the task and still interface/cooperate/collaborate with other group members.
Modifications for Learners with disabilities or other issues may be accomplished in a timely manner and promote constructive involvement for the Learner(s) involved
Ethical Considerations
Within the limits of the assignment Learners may select areas of personal interest for development and contribution.
The collaborative nature of the assignment promotes both the individual opportunity to accomplish familiar tasks and to undertake tasks with more risk/development.
The assessment process emphasizes the importance of quality individual contributions to the group process.
The assessment process rewards the group, not the individual, for the completed project.
The group/collaborative process minimizes the value of using ready-made (i.e. borrowed) work. The assessment rewards individual creativity and critical thinking that promotes a (relatively) unique group product that is supported by authoritative citations.
